Our student created and built immersive haunted house experience plunges visitors into the depths of horror, while echoes can be heard around every corner. The KHSPAC students and alumni haunting the ASYLUM promise a psychological journey through genuine terror. Step into the flickering electroshock therapy room to the chilling isolation wards. Encounter ghostly inhabitants: deranged doctors, whispering nurses, and restless patients trapped by their past. Are you ready to face the forgotten?

This year KHSPAC is excited to announce a new way to help our students in need: Sponsored Tickets! When you purchase a Sponsored Ticket, it will be distributed to a student to attend our Haunted House for free.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

KHSPAC is proud to present their 3rd annual Haunted House attraction, “THEATRE OF TERRORS: THE MISSING” at the Kaimuki HighSchool Auditorium!

The “THEATRE OF TERRORS: THE MISSING” follows the mystery of two teens who vanish while investigating a decades-old carnivaldisappearance. When guests make their entrance, creatures will be lurking around every corner, waiting to give you a frightful, pulse-pounding experience! 

Visitors will be invited into our theatre in groups of 5. If your group is larger than 5, we will assist you in splitting up. Please beadvised, use of strobe lighting and fog are incorporated in the Haunted House. 

This year's Haunted House will also feature food vendors, craft & service vendors as well as tarot card readers, mediums and facepainting! 

"THEATRE OF TERRORS: THE MISSING" is a fundraiser for the Kaimuki High School Performing Arts Center.

This summer, Ballet Hawaii presents two very special ballets in its culmination performance of three weeks of Summer Intensive training where students and professional guest dancers come together onstage. The performance will be held, one time only, on Saturday July 22, 2023 at 4:00 pm at Leeward Community College. 

Urashima Taro is a familiar Japanese folktale about a young fisherman and his adventures beneath the sea. The music of this child-friendly ballet has been composed by Ballet Hawaii's own talented accompanist, takashi koshi, and has been freshly choreographed by Ballet Hawaii teacher and Performing Ensemble director, Christine Kaminski with costumes by Yoshie Huffman. The second ballet, By George, set by Maiqui Mañosa, is a fun-filled celebration of George Gershwin's music choreographed by Tom Pazik. Featured guest artists are here courtesy of Eugene Ballet, Carolina Ballet, Cleveland Ballet, and Sacramento Ballet.

Based on the Academy Award Nominated 1994 Movie, Footloose the musical tells the story of Ren McCormack, a teenage boy fromChicago who moves to a small farming town with his mother. To his surprise, Ren finds himself at odds with the rigorous local edicts fromthe local preacher, whom among other things has convinced the town to outlaw dancing! With the help of the Reverend’s daughter, Ariel,Ren sets out to lead his classmates in a rebellion to fight for their rights and bring music and dance back again and to learn that no matterhow tragic their circumstances are, they can survive and thrive.

KHSPAC's production of Footloose features a cast of 29 talented students from Kaimuki High School and other public schools around theisland. KHSPAC is also proud to welcome back their Alumni who have returned to Kaimuki High School to join the Production Team for thisspring production, including Director and Choreographer, Dwayne Sakaguchi Jr. who will be making his KHSPAC directorial debut.

There's an incredible need for a mainlandstyle rodeo in the state of Hawaii, since Habilat discontinued producing the event. For most of the 90'sand 2000's hardcore fans, local families, and the military enjoyed watching over 100 head of cattle compete against the top local cowboys in thisheart pounding extreme sport. Now in it’s 7th year, producer Dita Holifield, The Queen of Country Music in Hawaii, has stepped up to the plateagain alongside Bud and Katy Gibson, owners of New Town and Country Stables in Waimanalo, to bring back the state’s largest and most excitingRodeo!

Hawai‘i Triennial 2022 (HT22) will be framed around the fluid concept of Pacific Century - E Ho‘omau no Moananuiākea, interweaving themes of history, place, and identity within the context of Hawaiʻi’s unique location at the confluence of Asia-Pacific and Oceania.

HT22’s 43 artists and collectives feature over 60 participants including internationally renowned cultural figures exhibiting alongside multiple generations of Hawai‘i-based artists, as well as others making their U.S. institutional debut. The citywide exhibition will take place at: Bishop Museum, Foster Botanical Garden, Hawaii Theatre Center, Hawai‘i State Art Museum, Iolani Palace, Honolulu Museum of Art, and Royal Hawaiian Center.

The 40th edition of the Hawai‘i International Film Festival (HIFF) presented by Halekulani. Set to open on November 5th through the 29th, this year’s festival will be a hybrid of in-person and virtual screenings, making HIFF — for the first time ever — accessible to audiences all across the United States. In continuation of HIFF’s mission to advance understanding and cultural exchange among the peoples of Asia, the Pacific and North America by presenting films from around the world, the festival will present over 200 films from 25 countries, and 17 world premieres.

As all of Hawai‘i follows to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the City and County of Honolulu has set forth a new tiered framework aimed to slowly and safely reopen businesses and activities, while keeping the residents of Honolulu healthy. In an effort to reignite the local economy, HIFF will partner with Consolidated Theaters to present limited in-person screenings on Oahu. We will also host select drive-in events.

Hawai‘i International Film Festival presented by Halekulani (HIFF)
Established in 1981, the Hawai‘i International Film Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of cultural exchange and media in the Pacific Rim. HIFF is a premier international film event that has won the praise of international filmmakers, scholars, educators, governments, programmers and film industry leaders across the globe. HIFF’s programming has two particular mandates: to be a festival of record for emerging films from Asia, the Pacific, and North America and to present the top festival films from around the world, annually screening films from over 45 countries. HIFF Industry and HIFF VR presents content and panels in the fields of film, music, virtual reality, and new media entertainment. Drive-in movies are making a comeback thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

And now, Aloha Drive-In Movies will be transforming a section of the parking lot at Ala Moana Center into an outdoor theater this week and into November.

The 30-foot LED screen will face the Ewa direction, and audio for the films will be transmitted via FM radio.

Snacks will also be available for purchase right from your car, and delivered by staffers, or pre-order online and pick up at the concession stand

Tickets are $40 per vehicle for up to 5 people.
